Dear Pat,
I refer to your visit to myself at my home in Waterford on Sunday last 30-4-2006.
I have considered your request to delete the second half of page five in my complaint against Mr. David Connellan dated 5-12-2005.
However, I wish you to include the full page five, and attach same to that complaint.
There is evidence contained on page five which points out serious problems and contradictions in the men’s statements which were taken by the Kilkenny Gardai, who acted upon them, and pursued in turn by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Convictions resulted, peoples lives were destroyed, and some were sent to prison.
I submit that Michael Lanigan & Co. Solicitors 1 High Street Kilkenny have presented the same statements, which were fundamentally flawed and unsafe before the Irish Residential Institutions Redress Board, while claiming compensation for their clients, and again acted upon by learned Barristers at Law, and our esteemed Judiciary.
In all cases, the Gardai, Solicitors and Barristers involved had full access to these statements for their examination. The men named in my complaint dated 5-12-2005, and clients of the same firm of solicitors, have in their statements wrongfully, and falsely accused me of abusing them while they were resident in St. Joseph’s Industrial School some thirty years ago.
Myles Brady, David Murray, Breffni O’ Rourke, Sister Fergul, The Reverend Mother Sister Joseph Conception, and Sister are some of those who have been named as child abusers by those men who have falsely accused me.
Myles Brady died while in prison.
Michael O’ Brien, Laetiff Bashorum, William Heffernan and Billy Mc Cullagh has named Myles Brady in their statements. And again, I state that these same men in their statements have wrongfully and falsely accused me of abusing them while they were resident in St. Josephs.

I submit that among some state agencies, and the general public, there has been, and still exists a culture, and belief, and a perception that anyone named by the likes of these individuals from St. Josephs Kilkenny is guilty as accused.
Irish State Laws which enforce secrecy and Confidentiality, are biased and heavily weighted against the accused victim, and favors the accuser.
The accused victim has no access to Garda [police] files, no access to Health Board files, no access to Solicitor files, no State help, and no access to files that are held in secret by the Redress Board.
An accused victim is denied his/her Civil, Constitutional, National and International right to a just defence against what these Government Agencies and Legal firms and individuals do and say about and against them.
I submit that these Irish State Agencies are a major cause of miscarriages of justice, encouraging false accusations and false statements, and in sustaining hurt, frustration and devastation among innocent people and their Families.
There is evidence in the men’s statement’s that the Kilkenny Gardai [Irish police force] have given leading information which is evident in their words. Is this how the Gardai secure a conviction!
Mr. David Connellan admits that he was suffering from a deep depression while he was resident in St. Josephs.
In 2003, Mr. Laetiff Bashorum blatantly contradicts allegations made by him to the Redress board, when compared with his earlier statement to the Kilkenny Gardai in 1995.
In the writings of Barrister David Humphries and Gabriel Haughton, the Law Library Dublin dated 24-9-2003 and October 2004, they epitomise the official lack of a fair and balanced justice system, and a lack of concern and compassion for those claiming their innocence.

All of the above I have found to have been elusive and difficult to deal with.
The Health Boards have been the worst, and since 2003, they have maintained their arrogant and insulting silence, and they still refuse to communicate with myself and my wife and my Family.
How can an innocent victim of false accusations seek redress and closure against his accuser who is known to the Gardai [Police], and the Health Services Executive in Waterford, when the Gardai and the Health Board refuse to inform the innocent victim the content about what has been said about him, and the identity of the person who has given them that information known to them to have been false.
How many more innocent men and women are going to have their lives destroyed by false accusations until something is done to put right this great wrong.
I am at a loss to understand as to how esteemed and honorable people whose employment states its dedication to help and protect the public can work and operate a system that destroys innocent people.
I am one of those destroyed innocent people.
No person is safe while these dreadful and tragic conditions remain unchallenged, and continue to exist.
